IN OFFICE 2003 PICTURE MANAGER- NONE OF THE EDITS ARE APPLIED WHEN I CLICK
OKAY. DO I HAVE TO BE AN ADMIINISTRATOR ? THE PICS ARE NOT READ-ONLY.

In the Picture Manager, on the Getting Started task pane, click "edit pictures",
when you are finished, click file, save as...this is important, when you close
the picture and then click save it will overwrite your original picture.

In Picture Manager I show the picture to be cropped full screen. Selecting
the crop tool, I adjust the picture to the intended size using the crop
handles. The non-selected area is shaded out. When I click on "okay" the
picture returns to the original size with nothing being cropped. This
procedure worked easily with the Microsoft Photo Editor.

Thanks, Tony
