Editing border in a spreadsheet

I have a spreadsheet that is not locked, but whenever I try to change the
border color on a line to match everything else, I click OK and it hasn't
changed. when I go back into Format Cells, it's not changed. I could
repeat the steps as many times as it takes to give up and nothing changes.
anyone have an idea why this could be?? How to fix it?? I just want all
the cells in my spreadsheet to follow suite w/o having to copy and past,
then re-enter data.

Take a look at the instructions for "Apply or Remove Cell Borders" in the
Excel Help topics. That way seems to work. I tried to do this using the
Format Cells menu, and it didn't work for me that way.

that did it! Thank you much. Who would have thought that the "easy way"
would work better than the "long way" :)
