Editing Cells of a Summary Task

Is there a way to allow a cell from a summary task to be edited?

For example, if I have a column representing costs can I edit the summary task
as shown below:

Task Name Cost
________________________________________________
Task 1
item a
item b
item c

The Cost cells for item a, b and c can be edited but the cell for Task 1
cannot.
Is there a way to allow the Task 1 cell to be edited?

Not the cost field.
It is meant to sum the costs of all the sub-tasks.
