Editing links option not available

I have budget sheets that are linking to a central spreadsheet for costs to date, I want to edit the link to a new file in a different location but when I attempt to edit links the only option that i have is to open the source, the edit links options to edit the source, break the link and update values are not available. Is there a reason for this before I have to recreate the formulas again and for future reference

Hi Sarah,

Is the workbook being shared (Tools > Sharing). Not every feature is
available in a shared workbook.

Is the workbook or worksheet protected? Try turning protection off.
