Editing Org Charts

I use PowerPoint to create org charts created with the Org Chart tool
(Insert / Picture / Org Chart). However, when I send my files to other
users, they cannot edit the chart itself in the same way. Instead of
opening the chart in a new window using the Org Chart tool, the chart
is treated similarly to a regular picture on their computer.

Is there a way around this? Thank you.

Which version of PPT are you using?
Which version of PPT are your recipients using?
Do your recipients get an error message wehn they try to edit the chart?
