Editing restrictions

I've just started using Access 2007. I want to prevent other users from
accidentally deleting, or adding to my database. I was able to do that easily
in my previous version of Access. I understand that I can restrict changes in
this version by making the database read only. I have two questions: does
this replace the dialog box that appeared in previous versions of Access,
where I could say yes or no to "allow" this or that, i.e., editing? And my
other question is: the instructions on line to make the file read only say to
click "Protect Document" from the Review tab. Although the instructions say
that they apply to Access 2007, and I know that tab appears in Word, I cannot
find the Review tab in Access! Please advise.
