what type of application in word is used to add new text to advertising
flyer using a printer?

I think what you're saying is that someone has provided you with preprinted
flyers to which you want to add specific business information (name and
address of your franchise)? This can be done in either Word or Publisher,
and I think it would be equally easy in either, depending on which you're
more familiar with or comfortable in.
