Is there a readymade English (as opposed to US) OR gate symbol available to
use in Word e.g. from Visio 2003, Publisher, PowerPoint or where ever?

If the picture is editable that would do, the idea is to draw simple
electronic circuits without having to ask the University to buy extra Visio
add-ons which should be standard. I appreciate that this can be done using
the drawing tools but having done this in the past don't relish the thought
of repeating the exercise. Anyway thanks for the reply JoAnn

Do you mean as in a font? You can use a picture but I have a feeling that's
not what you want.

Have you investigated what is available as Unicode symbols?
Perhaps Google: Unicode circuit symbol or look at
http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U2300.pdf

Plenty of free PCB cad software... one good easy one is by Labcenter
Electronics, liked it so much I bought the licence... the beauty of this
one is it's easy to use and you can make your own components or
symbols.

It also caters for making PCB and Schematics, the freeware verson
although limited has demonstration mode with circuits that actual work I
found this one far better than the many others I tried.

Some CADs look very neat but are rather fiddly and time consuming to
collect the components required. A Google for PCB cad will bring many
results.

This would have done if I'd Administrator access but I did find a symbol with
the search "OR gate symbol" through Answers.com. Thanks to yourself and other
respondents i.e. James and JoAnn.
