Eliminate Spotlight in MS Office Accounting Express 2007

I do not wish to be forced to view distracting advertisements within products
I purchase - please eliminate the Stoplight feature within MS Office
Accounting Express 2007. The presence of this "feature" has me seriously
considering uninstalling the product. Right now, I do not plan to use this
product due to the Spotlight "feature". Should I choose to use the product in
the future, I will do so while offline, so that the annoying advertisements
do not download and present themselves. The person that approved the
inclusion of this "feature" should be sent to rehab, and possibly fixed - to
ensure they are unable to propagate the species.

Hi Austen,

MS Office Accounting Express is an advertising supported, free product, where MS Office 2007 Professional edition is a paid product.

Whether or not you can change the behavior of MS Office Accounting Express is a question you may want to post in the MS Office
Accounting discussion group using the link below.

You speak not the truth - when I purchased Office Professional 2007,
Accounting Express is listed as one of the products for which I paid. If what
you say were to be true, then I could apply your same logic and infer that
Access 2007 (or Word or Excel, etc.) was also a free product for which you
would/could/should feel obligated to load with Advertising. Nowhere in the
Office Professional Suite of products I purchased is there a listing of
"free" products included - in fact, if you look at the back of the CD
container, it compares Office Professional with the other versions of Office,
and the comparison clearly shows that Accounting Express is NOT a product
available within the Office Standard nor Office Home and Student versions.

Are you going to tell me that Publisher is a free product, too?

Just which products did I pay for with my purchase of Office Professional
2007?

Hi Austen,

While MS Office Accounting Express is included on the 2nd CD of Office 2007 Professional edition it is also available for download
for free from the link on the upper right of
http://office.microsoft.com/accounting
You did not mention in your original posting how you acquired it.

As mentioned previously there is a separate discussion group for MS Office Accounting programs.
