else blocks in UML sequence diagrams

I can't figure out how to do an else block (an if..then..else) kind of flow
in MS Visio sequence diagrams.
Please help.

Operators in UML sequence diagrams were introduced in UML2, Visio implements UML 1.3 I
think.
