email account and incoming mail server get changed in Outlook Expr

My email account gets changed from the name I specify to my full email
address. Also the incoming mail server gets changed from the correct pop3
name to something like 127.0.0.1

I'm running MacAfee anti-virus.

Turn off email scanning.

That's McAfee's doing. Disable the email integration.

You still continue to run the on-access/real-time scanner your AV program
includes.
