Email addresses are wrong

When I use project professional to specify resources, I
select "Add resources from the company Address Book". I
click on the link to bring up the company Address Book.
I can select the resources I want, but unfortunately, the
email addresses don't come across properly. The program
is putting (Last Name, First Name), which I believe is
the display name rather than the email address which is
[email protected]. Is this a bug in
Project Professional or is my company's address book non-
standard? The other fields, such as Windows User Account
and Group, are populated correctly.

We have see problems when pulling account information from the GAL
(address book). Adding resources from this form usually puts the names in
the wrong format for project and can show some interesting results.

Generally we suggest when adding resources into you Enterprise Resource
Pool is to pool the information Active Directory. Can't remember the exact
location, but it's Insert From > Active Directory, or something along those
lines.

Sometimes you usually just have to input the information manully, especially
if your company is still using NT 4 as a domain controller and user
management.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. FYI, when I
choose the other available option in Microsoft Project
Professional of "Add resources from the company
directory" it populates even less information. I have
sent your response to the server host team to see if we
have the environment you mentioned in your response.
