email body disappeared but subject still there

I received a confirmation email from a company. It shows that the email is
in my inbox. Who it is from is still there and the subject, but when I open
the email it is blank. It was there yesterday, but gone today. What could
be the problem and how can I find it? It's almost like it was written with
disappearing ink!
