Email Crashes GroupWise System

A sender using Outlooks sends email in plain text and the
email crashes my GroupWise client when trying to open the
email in GroupWise. The only difference that I see in the
MIME file between the emails that I can open and can not
open is the following:

Thsi is a multi=part message in MIME format.

Content-Type: Multipart/alternative;
boundary="---=_NextPart_001_007_01C35287.9E2EDDCO

what is added to the email to give the above?
