email created in publisher has jibberish

When I create an email in Publisher and send it to my smtp email address, I
open it up to read the email and it has the following jibberish before the
actual email: v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:*
{behavior:url(#default#VML);} b\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape
{behavior:url(#default#VML);}

Is this something that can be prevented in the creation? Or is this
something that happens after it is emailed?
