Email deleted after database rebuild

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I rebuilt my Entourage database today and lost thousands of emails. My hosted Exchange provider was able to restore my hosted mailbox to an earlier state, but email from my POP accounts was lost. I am using Entourage Web Services Edition.

Is this a known issue?

I rebuilt my Entourage database today and lost thousands of emails.
My hosted Exchange provider was able to restore my hosted mailbox to
an earlier state, but email from my POP accounts was lost. I am using
Entourage Web Services Edition.

Part of the rebuild process is to create a backup. Your Database is
never touch without creating this backup.

If you go to Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... you should see a
"Backup" identity. You can go back to that point in time any time you
see a problem with the newly rebuilt Database.
