email doesn't leave the outbox

After I create an email and clik send. the email lands in my outbox. I then click send/recieve and it apparently performs this action scince it takes a couple seconds to send the email and the window shows 'send/recieve complete', but my email is still in my outbox!! Under the 'sent' heading is 'none'. what gives??

Whatever 'gives' it don't give here.
You have posted to a Microsoft Access database program newsgroup.
I would suggest you repost your question to the appropriate newsgroup
for your email program. Is it Outlook, Outlook Express, or some other
program? You should also identify which, if any, service updates you
have installed.
