Email field name weirdness...HELP!

I have a filed named in which the normal email addresses were put.
Due to some playing around on my part, I have now ended up with the email
field populated by [email protected]#http://[email protected]# in all my
email records (over 5K of them). What sort of update query do I use to strip
out the correct email address minus all the added stuff? In other words,
deleting all between and including the #...# ?

Assuming that what you posted is the syntax you now have, try an update
query like this:

UPDATE TableName
SET = Left([Email], InStr([Email], "#") - 1)
WHERE InStr([Email], "#") > 0;
