Email Freezes Program

After months of uneventful use, suddenly Outlook XP freezes whenever I try
to send email. I've tried "detect and repair" and all of that, but it just
locks up, and I don't what to do.

Do you have Instant Messaging turned on in Outlook? If yes, uncheck it
under Tools->Options->Other.
