Email from Microsoft Office Picture Manager grayed out

The e-mail option pane doesn't allow any entry. It displays "1 files
selected" but none of the option boxes, selection dropdowns, or the
button can be used.

It doesn't make any difference whether or not Outlook Express is set
as the "Internet Properties" default e-mail program. (It shouldn't,
but I wanted to make sure before I posted this.)

A line get lost in editing ...
Does anybody have any notion of what's wrong here - or have any ideas
how to fix the problem? Thank you for taking a look.

For MS Office Picture Manager the email options only work if you're using MS Office Outlook (rather than Outlook Express) as the
email client software.
