Okay so I've used Outlook 2003 to send/receive my charter.net for more than 6
years and just the past couple of weeks I've been experiencing this issue.
If I send an email from my outlook 2003 to a contact with a YAHOO email
address and it contains an attachement the email gets bounced back to me with
the following message:
This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:

not reachable within the allowed queue period. The amount of
time a

Most likely there is a network problem that prevented delivery,
but it is
also possible that the computer is turned off, or does not have
a mai
l system running right now.

Okay so there you have it, any ideas. Spoke with both Charter and Yahoo and
neither has an answer both say it's the others issue. I appreciate the
expertise!!

Of course they'd say that. That's how many "support" people are trained to
shunt the user away from them: blame someone else. They get to close the call
quickly and increase their "solved" rate. Your error message is coming from
Charter's server and it says that yahoo's server would not accept a
connection. It's definitely not an Outlook problem and there's nothing you
can do to address it, as far as I can see.

Thank you Brian, so I can be assured ther eisn't anything wrong with my
system (spam filter, worm, or virus)as yahoo also tried to say. I couldn't
imagine there was anything like this as I am soooo careful. Thank you again
for the quick response!!
