Email link to link with bookmark does not work

I'd like to send email messages that contain links with bookmarks to
Word documents. Right now, the person on the receiving end can open
the Word document via the link in the email but the document opens at
the top of the page instead of going to the bookmark. Any suggestions?
All parties involved are using Office XP SP3 (Word 2002 and Outlook
2002).
