email merge to show in communication history

I want to send an email to many recipients in BCM through mail merge in MS
Word. I would like the sent email to show in the history for each recipient.
How do i do this? Is there another process that would meet the same end?

BCM should automatically record every email sent to BCM contacts, if
their email-auto-association feature is turned on.
