Email Nightmare

Hi,

I have been checking my email several times daily with MS Outlook XP for the
past year with no problems.

Yesterday I clicked on Send/Receive as usual only to get the following
message: 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (pop30 email
server.'

Nothing has changed in my settings - I've rechecked them all and they are
fine.

I then tried going into Outlook Express to try using exactly the same
settings, and it worked perfectly!

I've tried reinstalling Outlook XP, deleting the mail account and settin it
up again and everything else I can think of, but
to no avail.

I'd really appreciate any help - my ISP don't want to know about me as they
say it's a software problem :-(

Regards,

JF

From what I have found, I would test the account settings, to ensure that
you are connecting to the pop3 server. Also double check the username and
password for case sensitivity as well as the ISP or email server name.
Other than that, you may need to contact Microsoft directly for technical
support.

I have, and the strange thing, as I've said in the original post, is that
all these settings worked before and still work perfectly in Outlook
Express.

Help.
