Email Notification Problem

Processor: Power PC
Email Client: Exchange

I have a user who is having a problem with Entourage 2004. When he gets an email notification, the notification window's font is Giddyup. This makes is almost impossible to read.

My only thought is to delete all his plists in /users/uername/library folder relating to Office and/or Entourage. But before I do that, I just wanted to see if anyone else had that problem and had a way to fix it.

Thanks,
Keegan

Is this an Entourage notification window? What is the source of the
notification?

Try deleting these cache files first:

If you continue to have problems then do a quick test first in a new User.
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Notifications
there. If the problem goes away then we know it's in the User's folder. See
this link for some options:

Seems something like this might have been reported, but it's certainly not a
common problem.

OK so I found that this is related to a font called curlzMT. I went to another forum and they suggesting disabling the font to see what that did. Unfortunately, without that font enabled, Photoshop doesn't run.

Are there any other ideas regarding this?

The only issue we've had with this font is related to the Calendar.

Try disabling font Curlz MT

I would think that other Photoshop users would have complained about this if
the font were an issue.

You could use Growl for notifications instead.

See above, I can't disable it because it caused Photoshop to "fail to initialize."

That's my thoughts too. I have others with Photoshop/Entourage running, but they do not have this issue. I was/am hoping that there is a plist somewhere (I looked at the user's plist but there doesn't seem to be anything there).

I am trying to get Growl to work with Entourage. Sadly I can't get it to work.

I was also able to get the machine back over to me now. I have logged in with a different user and I am experiencing the problem. I deleted the files and cleared the font caches per the instructions you sent (I used Onyx).

Any other thoughts?
