Have FrontPage2000 and created a new website with hyperlinks for my web email to go to server...However, whenever I click on to the email link on the site as a visitor, I got Microsoft Outlook popup email form...which I can't use as I'm not an Outlook subscriber. In my other sites in the past I was simply able to put in the email and it went directly to the server without getting this popup...have I done something wrong or how do I remove Outlook so that it doesn't come up when clicking on the email on the site. Thanks

You don't have to be a subscriber to use Outlook - what email client do you use? Whatever you have set as your default email client is what is going to pop-up when you click on a mailto:

Whatever the *viewing* machine has as a default email client that is what will pop-up... s

Right. Clicking a mailto: hyperlink starts the default
mail program on the visitor's PC.

If you want to send form results or other mail from the
server, you need to configure the Form properties in
FrontPage, write your own ASP or ASP.NET code, or use a
third-party mailing program.

Rfutter,

[email protected] is an e-mail address, as is [email protected]
If you're trying to setup your AOL e-mail accounts in Outlook you will not
be able to do that. AOL does not offer POP3 e-mail. If you're trying to
click on a link to send mail on a web page, and you do not have an account
setup in Outlook (hotmail, other POP3 account) you will not be able to send
e-mail. What you need to do is make AOL your default mail handler. That
option should be available at KEYWORD: OPTIONS or KEYWORD: MAIL CONTROLS.

Hopefully this answers your question,
Good Luck,
Carl
