Email Signature Changes Color on Reply

Steve

Hello,

I work in an environment which uses Exchange 2003 SP2 and Outlook 2003
and am having the following problem.
When an email is replied to that I send from an internal or external
user, and then I reply back to that, my signature as well as the
original repliers will turn to a red font. The font itself and format
etc..is the same, just the color changes. This happens to a few people
in the office but not all the time.
I've checked all my option setting within Outlook and nothing
specifies red as a font color.

Any idea of what is going on would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Just the sig changes, not your reply? Are you using word or the outlook
editor? What message format (RTF or HTML)?

Hi Diane,

The signature content and format stay the same, all the text just
turns red. The reply text font and color is normal (Blue).
using Word and HTML.

Thank you,
Steve

Diane, Thanks for the tip. It wound up being us using Word as the
editor. Once we unchecked it - it was solved.

I've seen it...
From the main Microsoft Outlook window, click the Tools menu, click Options,
and then click the Mail Format tab.
Clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
Thanks anyway

If you do this, you will have to leave your computer on 24/7, be connected
to the Internet, and have your e-mail program open.
<a href="http://www.certay.com/IBM/000-083.html">000-083</a> If you want do this
anyway, the link below will explain how to do it. One thing I would
suggest is that where it says to create a rule and check For All Messages,<a href="http://www.certay.com/HP/hp0-s19.html">HP0-S19</a>
you change it and make the rule for people in your address book only.<a href="http://www.certay.com/IBM/000-102.html">000-102</a>
Otherwise you will be replying to Spam as well and could end up in an
endless loop of bounces.
