email signature not showing up in outlook 2003

I have created an email signature and want it to show up automatically.
I have followed all instructions, and it still will not show up on the email.
I have shut down and re-opened Outlook and still no.

You have it set in Tools, options, mail format, signature? Is it assigned to
your default account?

Assign a signature to your default account - even just a blank one. (create
one using two dashes and press Enter - name it blank and assign it to any
account that doesn't have a sig.)

Once the default account has a sig and if you use word as the editor,
changing accounts will change the sig. You can also r-click on a sig and
choose a different sig.
