Email to resource: how to include task summary lines too

H

Hall

When I have Project Server email task reminders etc to resources based on
the plan, the email only includes the task's single line. The problem with
that is you don't see the context from the summary task description. For
example:

Develop solution specification
Write requirements
Get requirements approval
Write functional specifications
....

So the resource only sees "Get requirements approval" without the context.

My question: Is there a way to include the hierarchy of summary tasks above
the task in the email?

Thx

Hall:

It's a very good business practice to include a specific noun with your
verbs when writing task descriptions for plans that live in EPM
environments. This should be a plan approval check.

Gary, that's true.

So besides good business practice, are you saying it isn't possible and
tasks are only shown in isolation?

Great ... maybe you can even point me in the right direction to do that, if
you don't mind.

So like the initial question says, I'm looking to have the notification
include the hierarchy of summary tasks' descriptions above the task being
sent.

Thanks!
