Email transfers

I got a new computer and would like to transfer (not just
forward) all of my emails from one computer to the other.
Old- is WIndows ME and new is XP Pro. Using outlook
express. I can not locate where these files are held . I
would like to just put on a jump drive and copy to the
new computer.
-Laplink doesnot work
-Tried export but it will only go to Outloox, etc in the
same computer (no option to send to a drive or file).
Sending them all (>1000) won't work as I have only dial
up.
I I could just find where the files are stored maybe I
could copy.

ANy thoughts.

Outlook express saves the files as .dbx rather
then .pst. Run a search and it should show you where
these files are stored.

OutlookExpress is part of Internet Explorer "package", so better to ask to
in a dedicated newsgroups (this one is for Microsoft Outlook's support, the
one of Microsoft Office package).

By the way: for OE backup I sometimes use the good tool from MVP David
