Email won't reply using the same account it was sent to

I use Outlook 2007 with Outlook Connector to access my Office Live email and
an IMAP configuration to access my gmail account. Office Live is my default
send address.

When I open a message from my Gmail/IMAP account and hit Reply - it
automatically defaults to the Office Live email account.

I thought Outlook was supposed to reply using the receiving email address by
default. I cannot find a way to change this.

it should use the gmail acct as long as you are using IMAP and not POP3. If
the gmail messages were going into the live mailbox, then it would use the
live acct.

Hello -

It is using IMAP, not POP3 - and it created its own data file / set of
folders in the left nav to represent that account.

Update - solved my problem.

I found a new version of Outlook Connector on Microsoft's site. Uninstalled
my old version, then installed the new version. That seems to have fixed it.
