Whenever I try to send an email I get the following message for whatever
address I am using. I know these addresses are correct. Please help.

"The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'[email protected]' on 02/09/04 9:16 AM

550 not local host bdumail.com, not a gateway"

Thanks and have a great day,

Don

Are you trying to access an SMTP mail server on a different domain than the
one where you login? If so, you are trying to gain off-domain access to the
SMTP server and many don't like that because that can allow spammers to
abuse their server. You haven't validated that you actually have an account
with that SMTP server. When you logged onto domainA you authenticated
there, but when you connect to the SMTP server on domainB you have not yet
authenticated over there. So login the domain where is the SMTP server that
you want to use. Or configure your e-mail client to authenticate to the
SMTP server. If you are logging onto the domain where is the SMTP server,
try changing the order that your e-mail client connects to the mail servers
(i.e., to first connect to the POP3 server and then the SMTP server).
