Email won't send from Outlook 2002

lah

I'm using Outlook 2002 for the first time. I have a hotmail account on this
laptop which works fine, but want to use Outlook for work from my home laptop
but the emails do not send. I receive an error report which says "Task 'work
- Sending' reported error (0x800CCCF6) : 'Unknown Error 0x800CCCF6'".

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to create your own '@hotmail.com'
as an email address ending to reflect the name of your business?

Thank you!

Outlook 2002 can no longer connect to Hotmail. You must use Outlook 2003 or
2007 and the Outlook Connecor. Microsoft has changed the protocols used to
access Hotmail.

You can't simply create your own domain. I believe you need a hosting
company like 1and1 or GoDaddy (or your own ISP) register your domain and
then have then redirect any incoming mail to Hotmail of you want an address
like (e-mail address removed) to wind up at Hotmail. However, what's the
point? When you buy a domain through a registrar you usually get mail space
as well. You may as well use the mail service provided by the registrar.
