i recently purchased a new computer and i am using
outlook express as my default email. i am getting my new
email without a problem. is there any way to get the old
read emails that were always present on my old computer's

Yes... On your old computer, go to file/export/messages. Export to a zip
disk, floppy, network drive, or somewhere you can get it from your new
computer. From your new computer go to file/import/messages. That should
do it for you.
