I need to email a document, BUT I do not wat the
recipicant to be able to see any of the markups. How can
I do this?
Turn off Track Changes. Then use the Reviewing toolbar buttons to
accept or reject all the changes.
If you want to keep a record of the markups, make a copy of the
document first, and accept changes only in the copy that you mail out.
If you're using Word 2002 or 2003, you may want to use the Hidden Data
Removal tool, which will remove markup as well as many other things
(some visible and some not easy to find) that you might not want to
send out of the office. See
