Hello All
I originally posted this problem in the IE/OE6 newsgroup, where I received
and acted upon lots of good advice, at the end of which the problem has been
resolved EXCEPT in relation to Access.
The problem was that my PC kept insisting on trying to use Outlook as the
default mail handler, despite my having selected Outlook Express as the
default mail handler. Following the advice from the IE/OE6 newsgroup I have
followed the instructions at each of the following:
www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx
www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q306098
.... and now Outlook Express is used as the default mail handler when
clicking email links from websites etc., BUT when I use a SendObject macro
command from my mdb I still get the Choose Profile dialogue box popping up
with Outlook being the only available option. I have even uninstalled
Outlook, but still the problem persists.
I know this sounds like - and probably is - a Windows/IE/OE problem, but I
have pursued it at length in that ng and ultimately the problem only seems
to persist now with respect to the Access SendObject command, so I am hoping
someone here can help ... please!
Many thanks
