Emailing Issues Spreadsheet

After exporting a set of Project Issues into Excel, and then saving the Excel
spreadsheet, I emailed the spreadsheet to someone who does not have a Project
Server user account. When that person attempted to open the spreadsheet
they were prompted for a Project Server windows account user name and
password. I am guessing this must be because the spreadsheet requires a link
to Project Server to import the data. Can anyone suggest a way around this
please? Any replies will be much appreciated.

Try this:

1. Go to the Sharepoint List which you want to export to Excel.
2. Click 'Export to spreadsheet'
3. Click Open if popup appears to download .iqy file
4. In Excel window click open if 'Open Query' popup window appears
5. Select the data from that excel sheet & right click > Copy
6. From Insert Menu click 'New Worksheet' (A new worksheet will appear at
the bottom left)
7. In the new sheet in Edit menu select 'Paste Special'
8. In 'Paste Special' popup window select 'Values' radio buton & click Ok
9. Save the Excel sheet & send it to user
10. Users with Project server account can view both sheets. Users without it
can view the second sheet in that Excel file.

I hope that will help.
