Emailing Notes only attaches files

When sending a note to email, the email has 2 attachments, a .one & .mht. In
the body:

Click the OneNote attachment if you want to view or edit the notes in
OneNote.
If you don't have OneNote 2007, you can click the second attachment to view
the notes as a Web page.
You can download a free OneNote trial version from:
http://r.office.microsoft.com/r/rlidOneNoteTrial?clid=1033&ver=12&app=onenote.exe&p1=12

The note doesn't show up in the body, just as an attachment.
I have changed the options in ON to no avail. I am using ON07 and OutLook
03. Is this the problem?

You might wanna check if you have selected Outlook as your default mail program.

I had the the same problem and I went to Control panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs > Select Outlook > Select Set this program as default > OK

I have Win 7 || Outlook 2010 || OneNote 2010

Selecting Outlook as my default mail program worked for me. I have Windows 7, Outlook 2010, OneNote 2010

Thanks a lot!
