Emailing Team Memebers by group or team

We are running MSPS2K7 and Office 2003
Here are some questions I need answered. How can a PM easily ( Without
selecting each team memeber on his project ):

Send emails to entire team via PWA.

Create meeting minutes and action items ( Not Tasks in the schedule ) that
will then send out emails to those that were assigned action items.

Hi Brad,
You have many different ways to notify your team. It depends on what you
would like to notify. If a Task has changed and you have published the
project, the team members effected will receive an notification. Within PWA
under Personal Settings you can determin what and how often a mail will be
send to your team.

Once you use project workspaces, you can set an "alert me" and determin who
should receive an email. Almost each Project Workspace web part has the
abillity to send out mails as long as you set them up.

In summary, you as a Project Manager can determin what mails need to be send
to your team, but you will need to set them up and depending on what you
whish to notify your team about you will either use Project Server or the
Project Workspaces.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more quesitons.

Marc,

In a project Work Space, how can I setup a team member notification group
and send meeting minutes to them in a few clicks ( Without selecting each
member seperatly ) ? Since a team has been established on project server,
how can I communicate with the entire team in a projet workspace? Do I have
to create a group called Team Members and place each team member in the
group? How do I view the groups?

Hi Brett,

As per my last post you have the ability to communicate to your team via
"alert me's" that you will need to set up. If you like to have a "group" that
includes all your team members, you will need to set up this group in
Exchange which could be something like "All my Project A team". Once you have
set this up you can use it in the alert me.

It very much depends how you like to distribute Minutes. I would set up an
alert me in the document library and save the minutes in the project document
library. This will then send out the notification to all your team members

Hope this helps
