Emails Repeated in Text Attachments

Hi:

I've been using this same version of Outlook (9.0.0.2711)
on Windows XP for a couple of years now and all of a
sudden this afternoon all emails are coming in with text
attachments. Some attachments contain text from what
should have appeared at the end of the body of the
message; in one case, the attachment contained a copy of
the body of the email in its entirety.

This is new and I haven't adjusted any settings lately.
Any ideas?
