emails with attachments get stuck in outbox

When I send an email with an attachmentat 734 KB or bigger it gets stuck in
my outbox, the receipitant gets it over and over again. How do I fix this
issue?

Uninstall your antivirus software and reinstall it without the mail scanning
feature.
