Embed xml tags in pdf

M

Mikael Sorensen

Business requirement:

1. Create a Word document (2003/2007) that has custom visible xml tags in
it.

2. Print/save the document to PDF format.

3. Preserve the xml tags in the PDF file in the original format so that
they can be read by a 3rd. party tool (embedded xml in the PDF file).

4. Programming in VBA is allowed, but .NET is not.

Is this at all possible?

Best regards,
Mikael

By "custom visible xml tags" do you mean merely <> </> type of tags
embedded inline with the text such as

<b>Hello World</b>

to indicated that Hello World shoud be bold?

And that really that is all that there is to it as in the printing/saving to
PDF format, they would just be treated as ordinary text?
