Embedded Compressed/zipped files won't open

If a compressed(zipped) file is embedded in OneNote 2007, it cannot be
opened. Does anyone have a solution?

The zipped file is embedded and is double-clicked in OneNote to open

- under Windows/XP, as expected a Windows Explorer window opens and displays
the contents of the zipped file - but it disappears within 2-3 seconds of
appearing.

- under Vista, a Windows Explorer window appears and shows the zipped file
sitting in the directory structure used by OneNote (normally a hidden
directory structure). Double-clicking or selecting the open option for the
zipped file does not work. It is not possible to open the file.

Any advice appreciated, thanks

No solution:
Things work just fine on my side (under Vista).

On my side:
The Explorer opens just normal.
Nothing disappearing.

On my systems everything works as it should:
With an "embedded file" as well as with a "link" to a ZIP-file in
OneNote the Win-Explorer opens correctly with ZIP open.

I have no additional for handling ZIP-packages (like WinZip et al.)
installed on my system(s) at present.

It seems that you might have assigned some other application for
handling ZIP-files.
