Embedded Fonts

A colleague sent me a file which contained fonts that I do not have on my
computer. I asked that it be resent with fonts embedded. That worked fine.
Is there a way that I can extract the fonts to my computer so that the next
time the file is sent (work in progress) it can be sent without the embedded
fonts?

No, the fonts must be installed from whoever the provider is. (Usually for
a fee.)

If you know the name of the font, you can search MyFonts.com and see if they
sell it. Another option would be to search Google and see if anyone lists it
on their website.

Word of Warning: If anyone offers the font for sale, then don't be tempted
to download it from a free site. The free site's copy is most likely either
a pirated copy or not the real font.
