why does Outlook move my images from the original
incoming email? (ie. the message contains images and
Outlook gives me a message stating "embedded object moved
to file" instead of being displayed in my message

What version of Outlook are you using? Are you using any add-ins like a
spam-filter or an automatic attachment remover that could also cause this?
