Embedding chart object

Hello,

I am using Word 2K and Office 2K. I have a number of documents that
have an embedded chart object with two colour gradient fill. When I
print these documents, the gradient fill shows in greyscale rather
than colour. I have created a new document and created another
embedded chart with colour gradient and this prints fine.
Copying and pasting from the original document to a blank doc still
produces a greyscale printout. If I choose a solid fill colour for the
chart it prints fine. The issue is with gradient fill.
Saving as RTF has no effect.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Ket

Ket,

I have the same problem and was disappointed to see no
response, as yet. Here are the details and work around
that I found...

I am using Win2k and Office 2k. I created Excel bar graphs
using gradient fills and when copied/paste special as
Picture into Word, they would come in greyscale. I could
paste special bitmap and they would be color, but the
quality is lower.

I played around and pasted the excel graph into a blank PP
slide. I then Cut the graph and paste special as picture
and it worked. From there, I copied and paste into Word.
Definitely cumbersome to say the least, however if there
are only a few items, or you really need the jazz it works.

Regards,
TB
