Embedding Excel in PowerPoint 2003

I am attempting to embed an Excel sheet into PowerPoint. Whether I do it in
code or manually I have the same issue. After embedding the sheet, I can
edit it OK, but if I close the presentation and re-open it, there is a
problem. When I attempt to edit the object, it doesn't refresh correctly.
Scrollbars appear, but the sheet doesn't display. I can use Alt-F11 to enter
the Excel code and from there activate the sheet using code. This refreshes
the object in PowerPoint and now I can edit the data, but even if I save the
presentation again, the next time I open it and attempt to edit the object,
the same refreshing problem occurs. Also, if you right-click the object and
choose Open from the Worksheet Object sub-menu, Excel opens, but there are
painting/refreshing issues, so you don't actually see the sheet in it's
window.

Is this a known bug, and if so, is there a fix for it. I already have SP1
installed.

Thanks for any help/advice.

OK, I've solved the issue. Here's the solution for anyone else that might be
having the same problem. The problem occurs when Excel 2002/2003 Add-in for
SQL Server Analysis Services is installed. The work around is to either
uninstall the service or open Excel before opening the presentation, and
leave Excel open while you edit the embedded worksheets.
