Copy & Paste.
Select the chart in Excel, press [Ctrl]+C, switch to Word, place the
cursor where you want the chart, press [Ctrl]+V to get an unchanging
image of the chart you copied from Excel. If you want the chart image
in Word to reflect changes in the source chart in Excel, then instead
of pressing [Ctrl]+V, run the menu command Exit > Paste Special, and
select the Paste Link option button, then click OK.
