Empty pages in printing ??

G

Glenn

I have a project that spans only 9 months. I have formatted it to use years,
months and 7 days. I am shooting the plot to a plotter with a 36" wide roll.
When I do a print preview, it gives me a view of the upper left page showing
all of my schedule but it also has a page to the right which has no data on
it.

Why does Project insist upon printing out empty pages??

Hi Glenn,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

In Print Preview/Setup/View tab - uncheck "Print notes"

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Mike,

I have unchecked all of the checkboxes in PageSetup/View tab
and it still wants to print empty pages.

thanks for your help.

Mike,

I changed the days in the timescale to from 7 days to 1 day thereby
increasing the width of my gantt chart and when I did a Print Preview it
somehow decided that it would not print my blank pages but just the schedule
itself. Go figure?

My timescale is 3 tiered with Years, Months and now single days.

Not sure what happened but I'm getting what I need so I guess all is well.

Hi Glenn,

Glad you've got what you wanted. There are so many settings and combination
of settings that it can take much experimenting to sort out problems :)
