Emptying Entourage Cache in 2008 when folder properties is dimmed?

Email Client: Exchange

I have the normal freeze of things in Entourage as the cache becomes full (I know how to empty the cache via ctrl + click on the mail folder etc.). However, now evidently my cache is full but the menu item "folder properties" is dimmed so I cannot access the tab to go to empty the cache! Anybody that has had this problem? I tried booting etc. with no success...

Hi Henry!

The Entourage cache for your Exchange Server mail does not have a limit.
Your server may have a storage quota and your drive may get full but the
Entourage cache cannot get full.

And freezing in Entourage is not normal. For a while several users
(including myself) reported that Entourage would hang frequently when
composing new messages but for me this problem has gone away. My best
guess as to why is that either an Exchange Server patch fixed the
problem or my administrator tweaked something on the server.

If you're unable to access your Folder Properties contextual menu item
then I suspect you're disconnected from your Exchange Server account. I
can replicate that behavior if I set Entourage to Work Offline.

Either your Mac, your server or your network is having connectivity issues.

Hope this helps!
